The hotel location is perfect for exploring Old Havana, with many cafes, restaurants and sights nearby. It’s a quick walk to the beautiful Malecón, Pasa de Prado and more.

Lilli and her husband Alberto did a wonderful job renovating the property and turning it into a first rate boutique hotel. We stayed in one of the two suites — extremely spacious with a lovely balcony overlooking Cuarteles. Beds were comfy and the water pressure was outstanding.

A delicious breakfast is served on the rooftop, including fresh juice and the best marmalade you can imagine (I do not exaggerate). We loved that Lilli supports local producers, buying yogurt, marmalade and divine coconut cookies served at the hotel.

If you haven’t traveled to Cuba before, it can be confusing. Lilli and her staff are happy to help with anything and everything, including currency conversion, restaurant bookings, and taxi reservations. Lilli is a wonderful host who makes you feel right at home the minute you arrive. The entire staff does an impeccable job, and I have to give a special shout-out to Harold and Mario. We enjoyed evenings on the rooftop with them, talking and learning more about each others’ cultures. They are incredibly special people, as you will discover yourself when you visit the Casa.

From the moment you arrive until you leave, you will be helped with absolutely everything by Lillevi and her husband, Alberto. They arranged the best and funniest driver to drive us around in an American convertible and a nice guide with whom we strolled around the city center. They booked a table for us on Christmas Eve at a fashionable hotel close by where we had a great experience with opera, good drinks and food.

We were also very pleased with their cheerful and service-minded employees. They don't know what good they can do for you. On the roof terrace you will be served an enchantingly delicious breakfast every day with omelette, fruit, bread, coffee, cheese and ham.

The bathroom is delicately furnished with soaps, towels and hair dryers. There is good water pressure and enough hot water. Something that is not a matter of course in Cuba. They are happy to wash your clothes for you and you can buy drinks and wine in their bar. I was very happy to find white wine here. It is not easy to find in Cuba.-) We send a big thank you to Lillevi, Alberto, Mario and Herold for a warm, friendly and first class stay.

PS! remember that you are completely dependent on having enough cash in dollars and/or euros to be able to pay for accommodation, sights, taxis etc. and that you change these into pesos if necessary. This can be done with Lillevi.
