Every detail — from the rooftop terrace to the dining area and the room itself — showed how much care the owner puts into the place. The rooftop terrace was especially wonderful: enjoying breakfast in the sunshine during the day and watching the sunset in the evening was absolutely magical.

What impressed us the most was how kind, thoughtful, and helpful the owner was.
From airport transfers, local tours, classic car arrangements, local guides, SIM cards, currency exchange advice, transportation, restaurant recommendations, and many other travel details, she sincerely helped us with everything. For first-time visitors to Cuba, this kind of support is incredibly valuable and made us feel very safe and relaxed throughout the trip.

The breakfast every morning was also delicious and beautifully prepared, with fresh fruits, tomatoes, onions, bread, and Cuban coffee. Having breakfast on the rooftop while overlooking Old Havana was a wonderful experience.

This place felt much more than just accommodation — it felt like having a genuine local friend in Cuba who truly cared about helping her guests.

If we visit Havana again in the future, we would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others.

I love Cuba and every time I travel here I experience something new and often unexpected. Staying at Casa Cuarteles was one of those things. It was absolutely amazing in every way! To experience this beautiful house; fresh, cozy and with all the amenities you can imagine at the same time as you are treated to the charm of Havana is absolutely unbeatable. Staying at Casa Cuarteles Boutique B&B was one of the most unforgettable travel experiences we have ever had. Before our trip, we hesitated... read more because of recent news, but Lillevi personally reassured us that she was ready to have us there.
Lillevi and Alfredo are exceptional hosts. Warm, attentive, arranged the day trips that full of pleasant surprises.

The location in Old Havana is perfect for immersing yourself in the city. Many excellent restaurants are within walking distance, and we felt completely safe walking around even at night.

Our suite was very clean and nicely decorated. The shower was excellent, the bed comfortable, and the entire space felt elegant and peaceful. The house is solar‑powered and air‑conditioned.

Every morning, we looked forward to the delicious rooftop breakfast—fresh food, peaceful setting, with great views. .

Lillevi is exceptional at helping plan activities. Just let her know your interests, and she will find the right guide to take you there.

We have traveled extensively, in many countries and with different types of travel groups, but this was the most personal travel experience we have ever had.
Lillevi is a classy Swedish‑Italian lady who fell in love and married with a Cuban gentleman—and that beautiful blend of cultures is reflected in every detail of the casa.

From the very beginning we understood that we were dealing with an... read more exceptional person for his availability and professionalism. Our impressions were all confirmed during the stay. We arrived at 8 am in the structure in a completely renovated Havana veja palace and despite the check in was scheduled for 13.00 not only assigned us the room immediately but welcomed us with an amazing unscheduled breakfast on a wonderful terrace overlooking Havana veja made of delicious local fruit (exceptional natural mango juice without added sugar) toast, eggs cooked in every way, natural white yogurt coffee, butter, jams, tomatoes all in super abundant quantities to cover lunch. We observed all the rooms and even the smallest are well maintained and cared for in every detail. Ours were both equipped with a balcony, super comfortable beds and pillows.
A note that places the structure above all others is that Lillevi (Italian/Swedish) is her husband Alberto (Cuban) have installed solar panels to cope with blackouts so it will be impossible to remain without power or without their very efficient Wi-Fi. Their friendliness and the professionalism of the staff they carefully selected in one of the services offered make Casa Cuarteles a sure point of reference for Havana veja as far as they want to discover the old town and also new Havana on foot.
Rest assured and rest assured to rely completely in their hands for tour bookings, taxis, restaurants without nasty surprises: you will be super happy!

Lili will tell you about breakfast, which is made to order daily, and held on the incredible rooftop deck. Dining al fresco in the cool Havana mornings is a real treat, too.

Lili is also a wealth of information about Havana and other services you may need. She will arrange transportation and negotiate prices for you with trusted drivers and is happy to make reservations for you at any number of excellent restaurants or shows. Just ask her for anything you need and she makes it happen.

I've been taking educational groups to Cuba for three years and we always stay there because of the consistently outstanding service and value.

Before our arrival we were already helped by booking all our transfers between the cities we visited before arriving in Havana and there organized all our transfers we needed in classic cars with very professional drivers. A beautiful combination of historic architecture and new with gorgeous colourful artwork created by Alberto and Lillevi’s eldest son/step son. We ended up getting a piece of Cuban art created specifically for us to take home, very impressed with it! Another son works on location and is so helpful and friendly like the other team members there that make this a wonderful experience.

From laundry service, to amazing breakfasts on the balcony with views, to all the help Lillevi gave us on both of our stays, made this a place we will always remember and made our stay in Havana that much better! We had rides organised and went to numerous restaurants/ bars recommended by Lillevi. If you like seafood Havana 61 just around the corner from Casa Curatales is a must!
